This Book.

So, this book. It's really trippy. There are these weird doodles on almost every page. They show up more and more as you get further into the book. I guess it's supposed to make it seem more like a journal? I don't know. The doodles don't even look like Greek Mythology.
I also have noticed more and more poetry in each chapter. I like it a lot. They're kinda like sonnets. It pleases me.

How Romantic

So, there's totally some romance picking up between Ovid and some girl. BUT SHE DOESN'T HAVE A MYTHOLOGICAL NAME. So, I doubt things will work out between them.
I also found out Ovid is a killer artist. And he makes these weird paintings of a boy in a cage that transforms into a wolf. It creeps me out.

Dang Ovid, you got it going on

So, I've gotten half way through the book- it's super fly.
I've learned that Ovid's sister ran away somewhere. I think it has been implied that she was a drug addict. Then again, this book is like a drug- IT'S SO GOOD.
I haven't blogged because The Things They Carried took a long time. It ate away my computer time.
I think English teachers should read this book because the whole story is an allegory for Greek Mythology. Pretty bomb.

Why, hello Blog

I have not written a blog post since November 30th. That is not good for my grade... shoot.

Well, I stopped reading Sailor Moon. Because I saw every episode growing up, I knew what happened in each chapter and I got easily bored with it. So, I started a new book. It is called "Metamorphosis" By Betsy Franco (James Franco's mom!)

The book is a journal of a boy named Ovid, named after the roman poet. His journal is mainly him documenting the lives of his classmates, but as the characters of Roman mythology. It's also filled with poetry and cool doodles.
In the first two chapters he explains that his journal is kept safely under his mattress in hopes of his parents never finding it. He explains that his parents try to run his life and complain about his lack of social interaction. Pretty much the same intro to any other Young Adult novel. But hopefully this one is different. I mean, the main character is named Ovid, so obviously it's going to be interesting.
