Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Thought I'd get that out there.
So, further into Sailor Moon.
After Usagi battles her first demon, she is exhausted and terrified... until she finds Ami. Ami is the smartest girl in school. Usagi finds Ami while walking to school, when her talking cat, Luna, jumps into Ami's arms. Usagi and Ami quickly become friends, but Ami has no time for fun- she's got to study hard. Eventually, Usagi finds out about a program for geniuses called The Crystal Seminar and Ami, of course, is a part of it.
Now this whole Crystal Seminar business is super creepy. They make the students sit on computers for around, oh I don't know, a million years. It's pretty much a brainwashing system. Usagi finds this out from a flyer about the seminar. She freaks out, crumples up the flyer and throws it behind her, hitting the face of a fairly attractive guy who always shows up everywhere she goes. He constantly calls Usagi names like "Meatball-head" or "Buns" in reference to the giant hair buns on top of her head.
Anyway, Usagi shows up to this corrupt seminar and changes into Sailor Moon to save all these poor, unfortunate souls who have been brainwashed. The first person she gets out is Ami. With the help of Luna, Ami changes into a sailor scout- Sailor Mercury. They kick some major butt and defeat the headmaster of The Crystal Seminar program.
As they are kicking butt, a young man in a tuxedo shows up and helps out. He is obviously the boy who calls Usagi "Meatball-head". He has mentioned before that his name is "Tuxedo Mask." He is sexy. I want to marry him. He and Sailor Moon make a really good team, but I don't think Usagi knows that Tuxedo Mask is the guy that calls her "Meatball-head." It's obvious they are going to end up together, even though he belongs to me.
The book is quite good so far. Way more interesting than the TV show. I hope they'll have the whole series in print in English soon. I'd totally dig that.
