Wait... Is this a blog?

Dear readers,
It is I, the great Molly Burns-Hansen. I am here to discuss literature for English class. SO, WHO WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT A FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC BOOK?

It is called "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" Volume 1 by Naoko Takeuchi. Yes, it is a graphic novel and, yes, it is Manga. I'm honestly not a fan of Manga, but I love this book. When I was a wee-tyke, I would watch the Sailor Moon TV show on Cartoon Network. I always wanted to read the book, but they didn't print an English edition until a few months ago. It's quite fabulous.

The book is about a fourteen-year-old girl named Usagi who lives in Japan. One day, Usagi oversleeps. As she frantically runs to school before the bell rings, she trips over a cat. She notices it has a weird bandage on it's forehead, so she removes it. A crescent shaped scar is revealed. Usagi, in shock, starts to make her way to school without completely freaking out.

Throughout the day, the cat keeps on following her. Eventually, the cat starts talking. Usagi flips out. Once she calms down, Usagi learns that she is the Guardian of the Moon and she must gather her allies to defeat her enemy's. Later on, she prevents a demon of some sort from sucking out the energy of a ton of jewelry customers. I didn't really understand that part, but it seemed cool. Since it's Manga, I have to read it backwards and I get super confused sometimes. Either way, I'm totally diggin' this book, guys. You should read it.

Sincerely, Molly
